History
Recycling for Charities is born from Computers for Charities. Registered as a charity in it’s own right 18th April 2005, following four years of research into recycling and environmental practice.
Computers for Charities, maintains its role of a reuse organisation, whereas recycling is the logical second phase from Computers for Charities.
The current WEEE directives not only provide an impetus to improve practice but much wider opportunities.
Recycling for Charities is seeking to provide a range of solutions, combining social action programs with practical applications. Providing potential for new skills and training opportunities to unemployed, disabled or offenders will shortly be available. Plus providing green environmental approaches to waste management.
Without the support of Companies with equipment and the Volunteers providing varied expertise, the inroads that have been achieved in our relative short history would not have been possible.
Back in 1994 I had little idea that Computers for Charities would develop to this extent, what you see on these pages represents just a small part of a growing Vision.
Thank you
